Last Updated: February 2025

Overview

The Center for Executive Development (CED) at the University of Dubai is committed to providing high-quality executive education programs. We understand that circumstances may change, and we have established this refund policy to address cancellations, transfers, and refund requests fairly and transparently.

1. Registration and Payment

Upon registration for any CED program:

  • Full payment is required to confirm your enrollment
  • A confirmation email will be sent upon successful registration and payment
  • Your seat is reserved only after payment is processed
  • Corporate clients may request invoicing arrangements subject to approval

2. Cancellation by Participant

Cancellation Timeline & Refund Schedule

More than 14 days before program start 100% Refund
7-14 days before program start 50% Refund
Less than 7 days before program start No Refund
No-show or after program starts No Refund

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to ced@ud.ac.ae. The cancellation date is determined by the date we receive your written notice.

3. Program Transfer

Instead of cancellation, participants may request to transfer their registration to:

  • Future Session: Transfer to the next available session of the same program at no additional charge (subject to availability)
  • Another Participant: Transfer your registration to a colleague from the same organization (must be requested at least 5 business days before program start)
  • Different Program: Transfer to a different CED program of equal or greater value (any difference in fees must be paid)

Transfer requests are subject to availability and must be approved by CED. Only one transfer per registration is permitted.

4. Cancellation by CED

CED reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a program due to:

  • Insufficient enrollment
  • Instructor unavailability
  • Force majeure events
  • Other unforeseen circumstances

In such cases, registered participants will be offered:

  • A full refund of the program fee, OR
  • Transfer to an alternative program date or similar program

CED is not responsible for any travel, accommodation, or other expenses incurred by participants.

5. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 14-21 business days
  • Refunds will be issued using the original payment method
  • Bank processing times may vary and are outside our control
  • Any bank charges or currency conversion fees incurred during refund are the participant's responsibility

6. Corporate Bookings

For corporate group bookings or customized programs, specific terms and conditions will be outlined in the corporate agreement. These may differ from the standard refund policy stated above.

7. Certification Programs

For certification programs (SHRM, CIPS, etc.) that include examination fees:

  • Examination fees are non-refundable once registration with the certifying body is complete
  • Study materials provided are non-refundable
  • Program fee refunds follow the standard policy above

8. Special Circumstances

In cases of documented medical emergencies or other exceptional circumstances, participants may submit a request for special consideration. Such requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by CED management. Supporting documentation may be required.

9. Policy Changes
